If the spa pack goes do you have to replace the hot tub altogether or can you just buy a new one and swap them out? We haven’t used our spa in over a year since the spa pack fried.

Good question Aston and one I get asked all the time. You can replace the control system (spa pack). You definitely do not need to get a whole new hot tub unless you want to. That’s really one of the best things about how hot tubs work, is that the spa pack can be replaced when it goes, and they do go. Typically you’ll see around 5 years of life out of them before they malfunction and then it’s time to replace them. Now finding the spa pack for the particular model hot tub or spa you have can be a challenge if it’s an off brand or older model. I see folks run into that problem frequently but the parts are out there, you just need to know where to look.
