We just bought a fiberglass latham pool and our pool filter is blowing bubbles, is that normal or should we call someone out to take a look?

If you’re seeing air bubbles, I’d bet money that there is air being sucked into the line on the suction side of the pump. Could be the water is too low. Check the obvious stuff first Tandy.
I agree with Alan. Check that the strainer pot lid isn’t on loose or the O-ring. The union between the valves and the pump might also not be on tight. If that isn’t the case, you should contact a pool repair specialist in your area.
