What are some good pool tile options for inground pools?

  • 1

Was wondering what your recommendations would be for pool tile. We are thinking of upgrading to a tile interior and was looking for referrals on products and installers. Is there a particular brand of pool tile that lasts longer than others? We’ve seen some really beautiful examples and some pretty scary ones. I’d love to do a tile interior but don’t want to invest in something like that just to have it fall apart. Is there a certain installer people use or a particular brand of tile that is better than others?

If you are planning a large format tile installation there are plenty of installers who can do an adequate job. I assume because of the concerns you are voicing that you are planning some sort of elaborate mosaic glass tile pool interior. Some great tile sites you can check out are Tile Doctor which has a lot of products the pros use. NPT is the most popular I believe but they are having supply issues this year. Bisazza tile is a premium product I see going in a lot of pools. Oceanside glass tile is one you might want to check out too.

As far as installers, there are a few top guys in the industry. I’ll give you my top 3 picks. These guys are the best pool tile installers in the industry in my honest opinion.

Thanks Alan, I completely forgot I posted this a while ago. We wound up going with NPT tile on our project. I wish we had picked one of the installers you recommended though. Not very happy with how parts of our project turned out.
